Parent and Child Health Initiative (PACHI) recently facilitated the signing of the MOU between M’mbelwa District Council and CSO Network as one way of strengthening transparency and accountability at both the district and community level. The theme of the ceremony was “Working Towards Enhanced Collaboration in Service Delivery”
Addressing the audience present, The Chief Executive Officer for PACHI reminded the signing parties to ensure they fully understand the signed documents. “It is high time districts should generate solutions for their own problems/challenges through collaboration amongst different stakeholders in the districts”. He said.
The Guest of honour and the DPD Mr Tamanya Harawa also highlighted on the need for both parties to adhere to the MOU as it is a guide in the operation of activities between the Council and the CSO Network towards service delivery.
Addressing the audience present, Inkosi Mwabulabo applauded PACHI for facilitating and sponsoring the event through funds from UNICEF. He also reiterated the need to understand documents as well before signing.
Mzimba is one of the districts where PACHI is implementing a Social Mobilization-RMNCH II Project aimed at accelerating the improvement of RMNCH indicators in Malawi.
